Workflow

Website development requires a great deal of resources and people that involves in the production process. A solid workflow is required to ensure that each and every personnel involve in the project will perform the best to their ability.

With that in mind, we categorized our work activity into three different type (meeting, document, and activity). We also divided our workflow into five different phases:

workflow
Concept

We focus on getting the overall big picture of the website project that we'll be working on. This involves a lot of visits and meetings with client, to brainstorm and organize everything down in writing for us to determine what it takes to get the project done, so we can come up with functional specification, work scope, and proposal for our client.

Discovery

After having the concept done, we take the project into our incubator and try to discover the requirements of the project. We usually come up with a guideline to be used before we enter into our development process, so we'll have most creative brief, sitemap, wireframe, and flow chart ready in this phase.

Pre-Development

When most project guideline have been approved by our client, we then continue with development preparation that needs approval from client before we proceed further and this usually involves concept layout for the website and the overall database/system design.

Development

By having most of the project guideline ready, our development team will have no problem to get into the development process, so we usually put our focus on the quality assurance task. This involves a lot of internal testing, fixing, and adjustment on the website before we can actually show it to our client for further testing.

Post-Development

When the website is ready, we will deploy the project into the staging server for external testing. For most big project, we'll have a training and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) session together with out client. After the UAT, we'll deploy the website into client's production server. Depends on the agreement, we might have maintenance after this last phase.
